The following was posted on the SAG Actor Bulletin Board by a friend of fired former head of SAG’s human resources and information technology, Craig Simmons, who is currently involved in a suit against the Plan overseers for action resulting in his alleged wrongful termination.
You’ll remember Mr. Simmons was discharged over a year ago after reporting alleged illegal conduct by the organization’s CEO, Bruce Dow.
In the following post, Mr. Simmons includes evidence that he was doing a good job right up to within weeks of his termination.
Here you go: You can read Dow’s own scores and words – written on 1/4/2011! Overall, scored me a “5” out of “5” and rated me an “excellent employee” and “one of the top 3 executives at the company.”
Curiously, this was only 7 weeks before he ambushed me, suspended me and threw me off the premises.
Also, I have top ratings in 2009 and 2010 as well!!!!! So, three years of excellent work (his words) and six weeks of becoming a total disaster – hard to believe his version, now isn’t it? Not likely that a Judge will buy his “story.” (The following documents will give you an idea what kind of a job his boss said Mr. Simmons was doing right before he was canned)

Hmmm…I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this turns out and how it will effect us, the SAG-AFTRA membership. Speaking of waiting, am I the only one who would like to have an update on what’s happening in our commercial contract negotiations with (JPC) of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) and the Association of National Advertisers (ANA.)
Hey, I suppose that I shouldn’t complain. I’m sure the JPC and gang are keeping their members in the dark too…ah, right?
