* It’s time that SAG gives an ultimatum to ATA/NATR agents! Either sign aboard or face disenfranchisement. As it now stands, SAG is considered a joke among the top powerful ATA/NATR agencies! Unfortunately, this board will never take a strong stance on this issue due to the fact that the Restore Respect dominated board does not have faith in our membership. They actually think that loyal SAG members would chose their agents over the great Screen Actors Guild. Sad!
*With every increasing information being revealed concerning CEO Bob Pisano’s possible Conflict Of Interest relationship with Netflix, there needs to be a TRULY “Independent” investigation agreed to by both factions of the current board, rather than the very same counsel that was hired by Mr. Pisano—and received hundreds of thousands of dollars to try and help him get Consolidation passed by the membership.
*The membership voted on a governance plan! Mr. Pisano, at a past plenary, laid out a plan to close branch offices which would save our union hundred of thousands of dollars! He put that plan on hold in hopes of passing Consolidation! Well, it failed! Why isn’t that plan now being implemented? Why does SAG continue to funnel Millions to AFTRA?
* Of course, as it now stands, we will not get the answers to these and other questions because of the current administration’s paranoia concerning the release of information on these and other questions! The Restore Respect faction of the board, at the behest of Branch Board Members, voted themselves a six month minus one day dues extension. Well, guess what folks, if it weren’t for this little web site and some concerned sources, this information would never have seen the light of day. It’s like one Restore Respect elder board statesmen proclaims “they know better than us!”
*Now there is one thing you can be assured of, the Restore Respect Board will vote for a referendum to be sent to the membership asking for a DUES INCREASE for a War Chest in preparation for a possible strike at the end of the current contract extension. This from the very same group that got themselves elected by proclaiming that striking was unnecessary in order to reach a fair agreement with our employers.
How about this? Those currently in power promise us that they will not pursue Consolidation until after the current contract extension has elapsed–and been renegotiated! Better yet have them put it in writing.
Here’s another thought! How about board members go on record on every vote they make. And then SAG’s leadership post the minutes of plenaries on the SAG web site—then we can all see who has the Membership’s best interest at heart.

PS, I got an e-mail from a branch board member complaining that 99 percent of those visitors to this board would assume that the recent pictures I posted lampooning the upcoming plenary were actual photos.
Oh boy! What can I say? Those were not actual branch board members laying on the beach and they did not sketch in the sand “Plenaries Rock!” And no, those were not real live Membership First Board Members rubbing each others shoulders! And I got to confess that was not a real photo of branch board members in the Jacuzzi with CEO Bob Pisano’s head bobbing above the water!
Gawd, I feel better after getting that off my chest!
