It’s time for Morgan Fairchild to Come Clean “Under The Stars!”

This came today in the Ol’ Watchdog’s e-mail. And It shows just how disingenuous the current Restore Respect Leadership can be.
Now first, you must know that Board Member Morgan Fairchild and her Restore Respect pals control the Elections Committee. You’ll also notice that she and her pals don’t accept responsibility for THEIR misleading e-mail, but conveniently place the blame on THEIR FRONT GROUP the so called SCREEN ACTORS GUILD Young Professionalah, not to be confused with the legitimate SCREEN ACTORS GUILD Young Performers, nudge, nudge, wink, wink!
So, here’s the e-mail the Restore Respect dominated Election Committee sent out to the membership. The Ol’ Watchdog’s comments are highlighted.

Re: Important Message Regarding SAG Election Rules
SAG Election Rules require that when candidates or their supporters publicize campaign events or distribute written materials in support of candidates, that it be clearly stated that the event or document is not sponsored by SAG itself, and that any group supporting a candidate not use the name “SAG” or “Screen Actors Guild”.
Hmmmm, I wonder if this includes the Restore Respect’s OWN WEBSITE SAG LIVES?
The GROUP that was notified was RESTORE RESPECT’s own front group! When you read the DECEPTIVE email in question you’ll notice that it not only declares the event is sponsored by the bogus, SAG Young Professionals but–at the bottom it says, “This event is sponsored by James Cromwell, Sean Astin, Mike Farrell, Gabrielle Carteris , Robert Pine, Morgan Fairchild, and the members of Restore Respect! “
The Group only did this after they were brought to task by this website, and others, along with several complaints from members. As for the signs posted at the eventah, I’d say by then– it was a tad late! I think retailers call this little sham “Bait & Switch!”
Just so we’re clear here, folks! When the current Restore Respect Leadership sends out a deceptive, misleading email, which clearly gives the impression that it is a SAG, sanctioned email, they seem to think it’s sufficient to respond with a simple “Oooops?” However, should ANYONE ELSE forward an email, even one that does not LIEor try to pass itself off as being SAG sanctioned, that person faces a potential lawsuit from those currently in control of SAG’s purse strings. Oh, and here is the final telling irony, the sponsor of the Bogus Screen Actors Guild Young Professionals, Michelle Tolan, is not only an Actor, but an EMPLOYERalong with James Cromwell and Mike Farrell.

Okay, now here’s a transcript of the deceptive e-mail in question that Restore Respect leaders, like Morgan Fairchild of the SAG’s Elections Committee, are trying to say they had nothing to do with. Yeah, right! (photo copy of misleading email also appears below)

(You can read the actual document below.)
And as is their M.O., even with the evidence at hand, MORGAN FAIRCHILD and her Restore Respect crowd still deny that they sponsored this event.
It reminds me of a funny movie of years ago. I believe it was called “A Guide for the Married Man” In one scene the guy’s wife catches him in bed with another woman. Even though he was confronted by irrefutable evidence of his cheating, he calmly went about making up the bed while denying his wife’s allegation! After his mistress had dressed, and left, and the bed was made, he innocently looked at his befuddled wife and said one final time “What Woman?” I don’t know, but I think that whoever is running the show for Restore Respect’s crowd probably saw that same movie.
Look, if Morgan and her Restore Respect dominated Election Committee denies that the email was sponsored by their group, then at the very least this matter demands a full investigation of Michelle Tolan (who is not only an actress but a PRODUCER)–and anyone else that might have perpetrated this deception upon the upon the membership. After all Ms. Tolan Actress/Producer is an EMPLOYER! And we know how SAG’s current leadership loves to spend thousands of our dues money on going after employers. It seems that the only difference here is that their supporter, Ms. Tolan employees ACTORS while the target of their current lawsuit, who forwarded emails they didn’t like, only employees MAKEUP ARTISTS.
So, The Ol’ Watchdog thinks that Morgan and her Restore Respect gang should either call for a full investigation on this serious matter, or follow their own advice and COME CLEAN!
